Ed ecco, a fine anno, la mia consueta "classifica" dei migliori dischetti annuali. Quest'anno mi limito alle prime dieci posizioni perché dall'undicesima in poi non ha davvero senso metterli in ordine di preferenza. Buon anno a tutti.

Una ricerca sonora raffinata, una voce splendida e fascino da antidiva. FKA Twigs è l'artista del 2014, forse del decennio. Commuoversi è obbligatorio.

2. Ben Frost – A U R O R A

(industrial, drone)
Un'opera di architettura. Maestoso.

3. Mac DeMarco – Salad Days

(jangle-pop, psychedelic-pop)
Lui è l'amico che vorresti quando hai voglia di sbronzarti e piangere.

4. Arca – Xen

(glitch hop, experimental hip hop)
Il suo sound è la sintesi perfetta del 2014.

5. Grouper – Ruins

(ambient-pop, dark-ambient)
Grouper è un'artista unica e formidabile. Ascoltate "Clearing" e piangete a dirotto.

6. Cloud Nothings – Here And Nowhere Else 

(post-hardcore, noise-rock)
Sono loro: crisi post-adolescenziali e distorsori a coprire le lacrime.

7. SOHN – Tremors

(future garage, art pop)

Musica per persone gentili.

8. Linda Perhacs – The Soul of all Natural Things

(psychedelic-folk)
Il ritorno di una delle meteore degli anni '70 dopo un silenzio di quarant'anni. All'epoca non fu capita. E oggi?

(electronic, wonky)

Un italiano in top-ten, ebbene sì. Questo è stato l'anno di Andrea Mangia, salentino very cool.
